CI Certificates
Carbon Intensity is a growing metric across the agricultural, fuels, and energy markets. Individualized farming practices as well as geography impact an Acre's Carbon Intensity Score. With the passing of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), a new renewable fuels tax credit was developed for Renewable Fuels producers: Section 45Z.
Section 45Z will reward Renewable Fuels producers for lowering the "CI Score" or Carbon Intensity of their fuel output. Meaning, Enterprises producing renewable fuels will need to purchase low carbon inputs... i.e. commodities utilized in fuel production.
Agrellus SOLVE provides access and executes on globally developed, certified, annual Carbon Intensity Certificates for both the Voluntary and Compliance markets. The solution delivers fully certified Carbon Intensity Certificates based upon industry standard GREET model published through the Argonne National Lab.
